Bandaranayake Central College, Veyangoda(BCCV), usually known as "Veyangoda Central" is one of the first central colleges of Sri Lanka. It was opened according to the central colleges' concept of Mr C.W.W Kannangara on 06th January 1941.
Today about 2700 students are studying from grade 6 to 13 and academic staff of 140 are engaged in the teaching process. It is one of the schools with the highest academic performance in Gampaha district with 100% O/L passes and over 65% of university entrances from A/L each year.
